Having perviously worked on a photography portfolio site, I was already keen to work on this one. Both me and the client wanted to make sure the layout design was sympathetic towards the subject and the artist being portrayed.

My approach to this was to conceptualizes a simple navigation system, rather than heavily designed pages with distracting and unnecessary graphics, the focus should always be on the work itself.
